MEET ROSE ANN
I have 2 children. My daughter Lisa lives in Montgomery, Texas. My son Trey lives in Keller, Texas. I have 8 grandchildren. I grew up in Garland, Texas, but have lived in McKinney 11 years. I am divorced, retired and live alone. I have been at Lighthouse 11 years. I am a daughter of the Most High King and am passionate for all to know Jesus.
Psalm 30:5 – “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
My story is filled with bad choices, broken pieces and a testimony of God’s faithfulness to forgive, redeem, and heal. For the longest time, I thought God was a punishing God. I didn’t know how much God loved me or how to walk in joy in the midst of the pain. Psalm 30:5 has always been a favorite of mine, and it reminds me that God is my help. He is faithful, and He hears my cries. Not only does He hear, but He responds, too. He lifts me out of the pit and protects me. Every time I face a sorrowful situation, when I look up and focus on Him, He is faithful to turn my sorrow to joy. Hebrews 12:2 tells us our part is to “fix our eyes on Jesus.” When we do, His promise can be found in John 16:20 – “You will be sorrowful but your sorrow will turn to joy.” (Hebrews 12:6, John 16:33, 2 Corinthians 5:18, I Peter 5:10, Romans 8:28, Romans 8:35, Nehemiah 8:10, Job 33:26, Psalm 16:11)
Abba Father, Thank you for your promise that I can trust you to forgive me, heal me and to redeem my life from the pit. Thank you that joy comes in the morning. I wilI praise you for you are faithful and merciful, O Lord. Show me mercy. I ask for strength to make it through the night seasons. And when my thoughts stray, help me to focus on you. For you alone are God. There is nothing too hard for you. I will praise you forever. May your favor rest on each one of us. In Jesus Name, Amen
