My husband, Bryan, and I live in Prosper and have been married for 14 years. We have two kids, Avery (5) and Rylan (3). I am originally from Oklahoma, but we have been in the area for 11 years and began attending Lighthouse 2 years ago. I worked as a physical therapist and now have the joy of being a full time mom to my littles. We have grown and learned so much at Lighthouse and are so blessed to be a part of life groups and bible studies.
A few years ago my daughter memorized parts of this Psalm at preschool and the sound of her sweet little voice will forever be in my memory when I read it. She could barely pronounce the words, but her innocent faith showed perfectly how we should approach God, as our Glorious Maker. It reminds me of God's power and omniscience, and while He is the the Creator of the heavens, He still knows us intimately and desires to be the Lord of our lives. I particularly remember the last verse (24) "see if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." It reminds me daily to put aside my pride and allow God to lead me in His perfect way.
Lord God, I praise you for your all-powerful and all-knowing hand that created us as your children. Thank you for your love that knows our every thought and action. I pray that we will be strengthened and encouraged by the knowledge of your faithfulness and goodness, that we will seek intimacy with you and desire your work and righteousness above all else. In Christ's name we pray, Amen.
