I am originally from a small town in Kansas. My husband Andrew and I have been married 21 years. We have two boys, Turner (17) and Caelan (12). Before moving to Texas, we lived in Massachusetts for 18 years. We now live in McKinney and have been coming to Lighthouse for 3 years. I enjoy serving on the Worship team, attending life group, Women's bible studies, and activities.
I feel like Psalm 139 is a big hug from God the way it details how well He knows us and how intimately acquainted He is with us. He knows everything about us and yet still loves us. Amazing! He is always with us, everywhere we go, even when we are lost or afraid the Lord is there to guide our path and light the way. He knew us even before we were created. All our days were planned ahead. Verse 16 says, "Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them." God knows everything about who we are and who we are meant to be. We can rest in knowing that He has a plan for each of us. He knows what is ahead even when we don't. We can trust in those plans even if they include sickness or hardship because God is in control and He knows what is needed. He is a good and loving Father. The Psalm ends with David asking God to search him inwardly, to make known anything that should not be part of who he is. Then he seeks after God's righteousness. This is an all-encompassing passage of scripture that shows God's faithfulness to us and our great need for relationship with Him. I am in awe every time I read how God's presence has been with us and continues to be.
Thank you so much for always being with me, for knowing me so intimately. Thank you that I can trust in Your faithfulness to me. You seek after me when I am lost. You light my path when I cannot find the way. You go before me. You guide me and protect me. You make Your presence known to me when I feel alone. I am Yours. Created by Your hands, made in Your image, saved by Your grace. You are so good to me. You have provided all I need in You, my all sufficient One. Thank you for Your plans for my life and for loving me even though You know me so well. In Jesus' name, amen.
