I’ve been married to Gene for 44 years.   We have 2 married daughters  - one lives in Mckinney with her husband and 2 children, and one lives in Nashville, TN with her husband.  We have a son who has lived in heaven since 2013.  We moved from California to Texas after retirement to be closer to our children and grandchildren.  We have attended and served at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship since 2014.  I am privileged to be a part of the worship team, the women’s ministry and we both are actively involved in a Life Group.  Gene has recently been installed as an elder of LCF.  We believe we have been planted in this church by God for this season of our lives!

Psalm 150 is one of my favorite psalms; it leaves no room for different interpretations or misunderstandings – it is straightforward!!  Praise God in His sanctuary!!

This psalm encourages us all to praise the Lord for who He is, for His mighty acts.  We are instructed to look at Him, the author and finisher of our faith (Heb. 12:2) and NOT our circumstances and feelings or emotions.  I believe that as we keep our eyes (focusing on Him) He will keep us all in perfect peace. (Isa. 26:3)  It’s an amazing thing to be able to freefall into his arms and to have God’s peace, comfort, joy, love confidence and acceptance in the midst of chaos, confusion, hatred and evil.  If God is for us who can be against us?   (Rom. 8:31) We are in this world BUT we are certainly not of this world.  Praising and worshipping God for what He has done and for who He is should be a way of life for the believer.  Always give thanks, always praise, always rejoice and again I say rejoice!!

Father we thank you for all you have done in and through Christ for us.  You are a great God and you are greatly to be praised.  May we be more aware of your presence in our lives.  Nudge me by your Holy Spirit when my eyes begin to drift away from you and your majesty onto menial and much lesser things.  You are my peace, my joy, my comfort, my deliverer, my very help in time of need.  I will praise you in the sanctuary.  I will praise you in the midst of chaos, I will praise you when I feel alone knowing that you promised to never leave me or forsake me.  Father, because you have given me breath, I WILL PRAISE YOU. Amen!
