Father God, thank you for this women's ministry, for women being obedient to you and serving other women. As we begin fall Bible study, we ask that you lead and guide us. We humbly lay it before your feet and ask your Spirit to move in and take over. Do what only you can do. Pierce through our hearts and minds and reveal yourself to us, as we seek you (Jeremiah 29:13). I pray that, through the communal studying of your Word, that you would soften our hearts and minds to do a new work within us, that you would transform us from the inside out, healing the broken places within us, cleansing and refining us into your image (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Isaiah 61: 1-3, Psalm 51:10). May we not come away from this study like we began it, but may we be forever changed by your Word (Ezekiel 36:26, Romans 12:2). Draw us closer to one another as we enter into community, as you have called us to do (Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 John 1:7, James 5:16, Proverbs 27:17, Acts 2:44-47). I pray your hand would be upon this women's ministry and all involved in it. I pray YOU would be our focus and sole purpose of existence, to glorify you in all we say and do (Psalm 19:14).
1 Peter 4:8-11: "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
