Gene Aragon was born in Seguin, Texas, but at the age of eight his family moved to Southern California. After graduating from high school he attended California State University Long Beach for two years. His education was interrupted by the military draft. He volunteered for the US Air Force prior to his induction date and served four years during the Vietnam Era and received an Honorable Discharge at grade E5, Staff Sergeant. He resumed his education at Control Data Institute and began his 39-year career in Information Technology with the County of Los Angeles.
He and his lovely wife, Tricia, have been married 43 years, parenting three children and have two grandchildren. Both retired, they moved to Celina, joined Lighthouse in November, 2014 and in short time began to serve. Tricia joined the Lighthouse Worship team and Gene joined the First Impressions team. They have also served as Life Group leaders.
Gene and Tricia have been serving in the body of Christ since 1977. He has served on two elder boards in California, conducted New Testament seminars in 1993-1995, presided over New Believer’s classes and served as Director of his church’s Bible school. He loves sharing the Gospel and building the body of Christ.
